Region D Medicare Recovery Audit Contractor Adds Issue for DRG Validation
HealthDataInsights, Inc. (HDI), the Medicare recovery audit contractor (RAC) for Region D, recently posted a new CMS approved audit issue for RAC review pertaining to inpatient claims and DRG validation. According to the HDI website, the issue is titled “DRG Validation-Pregnancy, Childbirth & Peruperium” and it applies to all states within Region D. The issue also includes a statement that medical necessity is excluded from review at this time. New PS3 4.1 Update Allows HD DVD Compatibility
[PlayStation]As part of a cross-licensing agreement with Microsoft, the latest PS3 firmware update now allows the PS3 Blu-ray drive to read HD DVD discs, complete with the HDi interactivity layer. In the other part of the cross-licensing agreement, the Xbox 360 will now come with a Blu-ray drive built-in. A new improved calendar is also included.

The reason MS wont make a Blu-ray drive
[Xbox]Microsoft stepped up to deliver iHD (later renamed HDi), which was a trademarked implementation of HD DVD's XML markup language. All of HDi's interactive bells and whistles could theoretically be applied to downloadable video content, as long as a runtime environment was available. Microsoft can run HDi on both their xbox 360 and windows vista.
