PALIN DENOUNCES “DETACHED AND IMPERIOUS” VOTE BY THE DEMOCRATS

March 22nd, 2010 admin

Sarah Palin weighed in today on Sunday’s arrogant exhibition of raw power in the House, and her focus was largely on the contempt Obama, Pelosi and “the most ethical Congess ever” showed for the voters: Congress passed a bill while Americans said ‘no,’ and thousands of everyday citizens even surrounded the Capitol Building to beg them not to do

How Did Democrats Manage to Lose Ted Kennedy’s Seat to a Man Who Reminds Me of Sarah Palin?
When explaining why the voters of Massachusetts turned Ted Kennedy’s seat over to a Republican, some commentators are suggesting that voters were appalled by the corruption they saw in Washington as Democrats struggled to put together health reform legislation: Over at The Health Care Blog , Brian Klepper and David Kibbe write:  Read More →
VIDEO: GIBBS SAYS “WE’RE ONE VOTE AWAY”
According to Propaganda Minister White House press secretary Robert Gibbs, the Obama administration and Congress are on the verge of passing Obamacare: We are one vote away in the House of Representatives from making health care reform a reality. But he also says the House needs to pass the Senate bill, a major hurdle because many House Dems...
POTUS CELEBRATES 90-DAY ANNIVERSARY OF OBAMACARE CRAM-DOWN
This has got to be the most ridiculous Presidency in American history. Today, Barack Obama celebrated the “anniversary” of his arrogant defiance of the public will on health care reform: Marking the 90-day anniversary of signing the health care bill into law, President Obama today touted that Americans across the country are already seeing...
THE GRIM REAPER CARRIES OFF ANOTHER OBAMACARE VOTE
One begins to suspect that the Grim Reaper is against Obamacare. First, he got Ted Kennedy and now he’s made off with Jack Murtha. And Murtha’s absence matters for Obamacare. As Philip Klein puts it: As the Capitol reacts to the death of Jack Murtha and remembers his legacy, it’s worth pointing out that the news  Read More →
COLORADO BECOMES LATEST STATE TO PUT ANTI-OBAMACARE AMENDMENT ON BALLOT
On August 3, the voters of Missouri overwhelmingly voted for Proposition-C, which forbids the government (state or federal) from forcing the citizens of the “Show-Me-State” to buy health insurance. It now appears that the voters of Colorado will also get the opportunity to repudiate Obamacare’s individual mandate: Voters will get a...
45,000 DEMOCRAT ACTIVISTS VOTED AGAINST OBAMACARE IN MISSOURI REFERENDUM
About 585,000 GOP and third-party voters showed up at the polls, but the anti-Obamacare measure received 670,000 votes. So, who were the other 85,000 people who voted for Prop-C? Michael Tanner does the math: Even if the 40,000 or so voters who apparently cast a vote for Proposition C but not for a primary candidate all voted in  Read More →
Scrap Health Care Reform?
Now that Senate Democrats no longer have a filibuster-proof 60 votes, should Congress scrap health care reform or work on a skinny bipartisan bill? Should the House consider the Senate-passed health reform bill with the promise that certain provisions will be changed in reconciliation legislation? From a policy perspective, what would work in a skinny...
HOUSE DEMOCRATS DUCKING CONSTITUENTS TO AVOID DISCUSSING OBAMACARE VOTES
The Democrats who rammed Obamacare through are now hiding from the voters they betrayed. Nancy Pelosi and the President have encouraged rank-and-file House members to promote Obamacare while home on Spring recess, but most are deliberately avoiding their constituents: Instead of barnstorming their districts … some have been content to remain...
TIPP SURVEY: LIKELY VOTERS WANT GOP TO RUN CONGRESS
In recent elections, TIPP has the best accuracy record of any public polling firm, and it shows Obama’s approval rating in a free fall as the voters contemplate the end of Democrat control of Congress: Likely voters favor GOP control of Congress over continued Democratic rule by 50, up from 48 in July. Note that there is also bad  Read More →
The Massachusetts’ Vote
I didn’t post about the vote earlier today, because I cannot begin to predict what will happen next. There are too many variables. At this point in the process, a few politicians can begin to make demands that could actually block any reform legislation this year. I still feel strongly that Congress should try to pass a bill, even if it is legislation...
